Ali & Brandon

Ali asked me to do maternity photos for her when she went to Phoenix for her baby shower. After, she realized she wanted some when she progressed more in her pregnancy to also have some with her husband Brandon. Both sessions are some of my favorites of all time, and can’t believe I got to capture their movie-esque love!

I asked Ali if her baby ever got too hot when she was in Phoenix, and she said that he stayed “womb temperature”. hahah

ABOUT ALI & BRANDON

Ali and I met over our love of Animal Crossing and quickly grew as important parts of each other’s lives. I was over the moon for them when I found out about their growing family! Ali is incredibly artistic, has a passion for animals, especially her 2 meow babies, and a heart of gold. As a family. they love playing video games together, sharing a love of different fandoms, being an amazing team at trivia night and being an absolutely photo perfect, intelligent power couple.

ABOUT THE SESSIONS

Our first session together was at the time of her baby shower. Ali finally found a rhythm into getting some energy during pregnancy, and we decided to capitalize on it by waking up with the sun and heading into the landscape that Ali calls home. Ali had hesitations, because she believed that she couldn’t take a good picture and I was determined to prove her wrong. The sun hitting the landscape and giving Ali an amazing glow, inspired me to make the session feel cinematic. She braved a cold morning and hung in after I said “last shot” over 30 times!

A couple months later, we were able to meet up again. This time where Ali & Brandon were living in Santa Barbara, California. Nothing is more classic than a beach maternity session, and we took that opportunity and ran with it! The weather challenged us with some fog, and we decided to embrace it, instead of waiting for a clear day. I think the fog makes the session feel extra intimate and really showcases their connection and excitement for their growing family.
